Overview
In November 2018 UN Environment and the Zoï Environment Network organized a training and experience exchange seminar in Dushanbe, Tajikistan for a joint group of Tajik environment and statistics experts to explain the methodological and theme-specific details of UNECE environmental indicators, identify ways for strengthening inter-agency collaboration on information sharing and reporting, including indicator-based state of the environment reporting and environmental statistics yearbooks.
A team of national experts, based on the new information and ideas from this training and experience exchange, worked on a list of seven new environmental indicators in accordance with UNECE methodological recommendations.
