Overview

The national workshop is organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in collaboration with BPS-Statistics Indonesia as part of the Statistics and Data Project “Resilient and agile National Statistical Systems to meet post-COVID-19 data needs to recover better” under the 14th tranche of the United Nations Development Account.

The main goal of the national workshop is to enhance the technical capacity of the National Statistical System (NSS) and other key stakeholders in determining the scope of environment statistics in the country, by bringing the various stakeholders together to provide hands-on training on the Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (FDES 2013).

The target audience for the national workshop are national agencies that are responsible for the collection and dissemination of environment statistics and data, as well as for the development of policy documents in relevant areas. The participants could be from BPS - Statistics Indonesia, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, National Disaster Management Agency, as well as other relevant agencies.
